First timer?

Attending the Congress for the first time is both exciting and a bit overwhelming.  Each day is pack with Go-related events that start with the US Open in the morning and extend into the night.  There will be about 20 pros from around the world at your fingertips for lectures and simultaneous games.  And if you are not used to crowds, get ready for the 500-600 attendees that typically show up at this event.  You will make lots of new friends.

Things to Know

Before registering, it's a good idea to review the costs of fees, housing, and meal options.  You can also review the FAQ page, the professionals coming, and other information. The most important rule is that at least one person in your party or family must be an AGA member.  Now's a good time to make sure every player's AGA membership is up-to-date, or players should join the AGA if not a member.

View airport transportation options and sign up for excursion trips on the Wednesday off-day.  You will also be given a chance to buy congress memorabilia, such as coffee mugs, extra t-shirts, and other items. Finally, check the FAQ page to see what items to bring, what kind of clothing to wear, and other helpful information.
