About us

The San Diego Go Club (SDGC) was founded in 1968! We are the largest Go Club in the US by AGA registered members, and we perform weekly club meetings both virtual and in person as well as hosting prize-packed tournaments and public events throughout the year!

We were the host of the 33rd Annual US Go Congress held in 2017, the largest Go activity in North America that brings together Go players from across the country and internationally to compete and attend a variety of workshops & lectures over the span of one week.

We are also active in our local San Diego Community by hosting public outreach events at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park.

Ted Terpstra is the current chapter representative for the SDGC, and Enrique Garcia currently serves as President of the SDGC.
