American Go Honor Society announces logo design contest

Chris Garlock | Published on 12/19/2023

The American Go Honor Society (AGHS) has announced a logo design contest. “The AGHS has outgrown its current logo (right) and is seeking a new emblem to reflect its mission of spreading Go among the North American youth,” the Society says.

“Being an artist and creating wonderful works certainly isn’t easy, but it is a beautiful thing to witness when your thoughts spring into vivid paintings,” said Design Manager Kylie Xu. “To all the young artists that have decided to participate in the logo design contest—I wish you good luck.”

Anyone age 22 and under may submit to the contest. Each artist may submit up to three designs, and an artist statement must accompany each original artwork. The works must also conform to the theme colors of the AGHS.
All designs must be submitted to this Google form by January 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. for consideration.

The winning artist will receive a $200 discount off registration to the U.S. Go Congress on July 13-21, 2024, in Portland, Oregon (see the website
here).
