The U.S. team won 5th place with a win over Germany in the final round as the QuZhou International Children Team Tournament concluded this week. China took the top spot at 6-0 followed by Korea with 5-1.

The children had a tour of QuZhou which is renowned as an innovative child-friendly city. They visited the library, local schools and the Confucious temple while taking part in traditional Chinese cultural activities. Players from Korea, Germany and the U.S. were chosen to give talks with the U.S. represented by Samantha Soo.

"It was a great event," reports team coach Stephanie Yin. "The children had a wonderful time and many lasting relationships were built."
