NAOL Profiles: Kevin Yang

A senior at Chaparral High School in Temecula, California, Kevin Yang has played Go for seven years and is ranked 1P and AGA 7D.

Kevin has played in the Top 64 of the 5th MLILY Cup, GLOBIS Cup, Transatlantic Go League, and the 2022 NAGF Pro Qualification Tournament. He placed in the top eight in the 2022 GLOBIS Cup, 2nd in the Transatlantic Go League, and 1st in the NAGF Pro Qualification Tournament, making him the 6th North American Pro. Kevin also placed first in the Open Sections of the 2021 California Go Championship and the 2022 Gotham Tournament. Besides competing, he teaches at his school Go club and is part of the American Go Honor Society. Aside from Go, Kevin enjoys piano, basketball, tennis, programming, and listening to music.
