History repeats at Portland Go Congress

Sometimes history does repeat itself. Friday afternoon a fire alarm cleared the
Portland State University Student Union, where the 2024 U.S. Go Congress is being held. For those in the crowd of Go players milling about outside the building, it was an echo of the building-clearing alarm at the PSU Student Union during the 2008 Portland Go Congress. Unlike that one, which lasted over an hour, this interruption was brief, but there was time for the Congress attendees to gather for an impromptu group photo and video.
