About this event
Please register in advance. If you are unable to register, please email Soromon@gmail.com with each player's Name and AGA ID#, and plan to pay for registration at the event: $10 for adults and free for students.
There will be 4 rounds of play with Swiss pairings. Time settings will be Fischer Time with 10 minutes basic time plus 20 seconds per move added.
There are two divisions. Top division is a Handicap section for Dan and Kyu players. Lower division is a 9x9 section for beginners. Prizes will be provided for the top 3 dan players, top 3 kyu players, and top 3 beginners.
The top division is an AGA-rated event, so each player must be an active AGA member. You can renew your membership at www.usgo.org, or register a new account with the discount code NEWDMGC for 50% off.
Details:
- Two sections: Dan & Kyu, and Beginner
- AGA rules are in effect
- AGA ratings will be used to set handicaps
- Fischer Time with 10 minutes basic, plus 20 seconds increment.
- 4 rounds to determine winner. In case of tie, winner will be determined by sum of opponents scores.
Please show up at 9am to sign-in for the tournament! We plan to start the 1st round promptly at 9:30am, so if you're late you will miss the 1st round.
