About this event
2023 California State Go Championship is hosted by the San Diego Go Club.
California residency, which includes students, is required to win titles and cash in all categories... but all are welcome to compete... including beginners.
The 2022 CA Go Championship had over 80-players, including in the Open section ten 6-dan or stranger players. Previous winners include Calvin Sun (2018) and Kevin Charles Yang (2021).
No go professionals are eligible for prizes, but are allowed to play.
Players must register at https://www.goclubs.org by 11:59 pm Thursday, 11/23 to play in first round. Full information is also at Goclubs.org
On-site registration for rounds 2-5 allowed.
Entry fee is $30 ($10 for youth, except $30 in Open).
Players must have current AGA membership.
Pizza will be served both days.
