Kim, playing Black, defeated Alex Qi 3p by resignation on Board 1. On Board 2, Li took White and defeated Mingjiu Jiang 7p by 4.5 points. Qiyou Wu 1p earned his first victory, defeating Bill Lin 1p by 6.5 points with Black on Board 3. Michael Chen 2p had the bye.
