Myungwan Kim 9p, Alex Qi 3p and Ryan Li 4p won their opening-round games at the North
American Pro Championship in San Francisco. All three games ended by resignation.
Kim, playing White, defeated Bill Lin 1p; Qi, playing Black, defeated Qiyou Wu 1p; and Li, playing White, defeated Michael Chen 2p. Mingjiu Jiang 7p had the first-round bye.
