The 7th Greater Boston Youth Go Tournament was held May 25 in Lexington, Massachusetts, bringing together young players from across the region for a day of competition, learning, and community.

The tournament was co-hosted by the New Legacy Cultural Center (NLCC), Lexington Community Education (LCE), and the Massachusetts Go Association (MGA). Organizers said the event reflects a shared commitment to promoting strategic thinking, cultural learning, and youth development through the game of Go.

Players competed in Senior and Junior divisions, demonstrating strong play and good sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

In the Senior Division, Charles Huang took first place, followed by Aris Tian in second, Louis Luo in third, and Steven Wang in fourth. The Junior Division was won by Chengxi ("Harvy") Yu, with Kai Zhao finishing second, Yihuan Ma third, and Yuchen Ye fourth.

Organizers noted that the annual event provides young players with an opportunity to challenge themselves, connect with fellow Go enthusiasts, and develop skills such as concentration, patience, strategic thinking, and decision-making.

The organizers thanked the families, volunteers, coaches, and supporters whose efforts helped make the tournament a success and congratulated all participants on their achievements.
