With the 2026 US Go Congress heading to the Boston Marriott Newton from July 25–August 1,
2026, attendees will find themselves ideally situated to enjoy some of the best attractions the Boston area has to offer—both on and off the board.
Right outside the hotel, the historic Lakes District of the Charles River provides a rare stretch of flatwater and greenspace. The six-mile corridor is perfect for walking, running, biking, and paddling, with easy access to canoe and kayak routes that lead toward downtown. Paddle Boston (Newton: Historic Boathouse – Paddle Boston) maintains the historic boathouse next to the Marriott and the Congress team is working to negotiate discounts for individual paddling and guided trips during Congress week.
Just 15 minutes away, two of the world’s most iconic universities—Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology—are easily accessible for self-guided or organized campus tours. Both offer museums, historic architecture, and vibrant neighborhoods well worth a visit during Congress downtime.
A short 20-minute trip into downtown Boston opens the door to even more possibilities: stroll through Faneuil Hall, explore sites tied to the American Revolution, catch a game at Fenway Park, or take a harbor cruise for a different view of the city. Organizers are also exploring lighter, social activities such as pickleball and additional guided outings.
Whether you’re looking for outdoor recreation, history, culture, or casual social time with fellow players, the area surrounding the 2026 Congress venue offers plenty of ways to round out the week. More details on optional activities and excursions will be shared as planning continues—so be sure to stay tuned and follow Congress updates as the schedule takes shape.
