Registration is now open for the 9th World Collegiate Weiqi Championship US Qualifier. The top male and female winners of the online qualifier will earn an invitation to represent the United States in Singapore between July 26-August 1, 2025. Local transportation, lodging, meals, and up to $800 in airfare will be covered by the organizers.
Any full-time undergraduate or graduate student studying in the US (including foreign national students), excluding professional players, is eligible to register. The qualifier will take place online on the OGS Go Server between April 28-May 5. The deadline to register for the qualifier is Sunday, April 27th at 9 pm ET. This tournament is sponsored by the Chinese Weiqi Association, Singapore Weiqi Association, and Shanghai Ing Chang-ki Weichi Educational Foundation, and is a wonderful opportunity for university players to foster friendships and compete against top collegiate players from around the world.
