The North American Go Federation (NAGF), in partnership with the San Francisco Go Club, is seeking a strong amateur or professional Go player over the age of 45 to represent North America at the 6th World Baduk Championship, to be held June 2–6, 2025, in Shin-An, South Korea.

Eligible participants must be born on or before December 31, 1980, and must be a citizen or permanent resident of a North American country, with current primary residence in North America. The selected player must attend the tournament in person; while airfare must be self-funded, the organizers will cover room and board during the event.

A qualification tournament to determine North America's representative will take place on April 27, 2025, at the San Francisco Go Club (22 Peace Plaza #501, San Francisco, CA). Registration is open until April 13, 2025 via this form.

The World Baduk Championship is a single-elimination tournament with 30-minute main time and three 60-second byoyomi periods. It follows KBA rules with a 6.5-point komi. The top prize is ₩30 million KRW (approx. $20,000 USD), with generous prizes down to the top 16 finishers.
