Chris Garlock | Published on 1/13/2025

The Pandanet-AGA City League is one week into its 13th season, with a record 39 teams from 26 cities competing across 5 leagues. For the first time ever, the EJournal will be launching a livestream of one match from the A League each round, starting this Saturday on January 18th with the match between Toronto and Chicago. This match will feature Ivan Lo 7 dan from Toronto and champion of the 2024 Canadian Open versus Albert Yen 7 dan from Chicago and the current highest-rated US amateur with an AGA rating of 8.02. Watch live on the AGA’s YouTube channel, starting at 4p ET. “The competition this year is stronger than ever and we’re excited to be able to bring these exciting games to a wider audience and allow fans to cheer for their favorite teams and players thanks to the partnership between Pandanet, the AGA and the American Go E-Journal,” said League Coordinator Justin Teng. The Pandanet-AGA City League is an online tournament in which teams from cities across North America play in a league system in the AGA City League room on the Pandanet-IGS server. The teams consist of up to five players (three starters and two alternates), of which three are selected to play in each round.
