Game records from October 26 Pumpkin Classic at the National Go Center in Washington DC are now posted. They were recorded on the AGA’s new IZIS electronic recording boards, which worked very well, though “they do require some care with stone placement,” noted EJ Managing Editor Chris Garlock. The AGA now has seven of the boards, thanks to a generous contribution from former AGA president Phil Straus, and the EJ team will continue testing them in the months ahead in preparation for use at the 2025 U.S. Go Congress in Austin next year. And while the boards will ease the need for game recorders, Garlock notes that they require set-up and monitoring; anyone interested in joining the EJ broadcast team can email journal@usgo.org.
Videos from the Pumpkin Classic are posted here.
