The ten national champions who prevailed in the 2nd Latin American Weiqi Championship Circuit- Quzhou Lanke Cup will compete online this weekend to determine the event’s top champion. Follow the action on OGS on June 1 and 2 and through the FIG Twitch channel.

The Latin American Weiqi Championship Circuit, sponsored by the Chinese Weiqi Association, ended with the Venezuelan series on April 18-19, the last national event of a total of 10 countries that comprised this second Circuit. The first three series of the Circuit were held at the end of 2022: Brazil in September, Argentina in October and Mexico in November. Later, at the end of 2023, three other series were carried out: Cuba in October and Colombia and Chile in December. And in 2024, the series were held in Guatemala in January, Ecuador in March, and the Dominican Republic and Venezuela in April. For a complete report, click on this link.

An average of between 40 and 50 people participated in each of the Circuit series and coverage that each event received was quite wide, including magazines, television channels and social networks. The high player participation in each event was possible thanks to sponsor financing of travel expenses.
