Black 1 wastes a good chance.
When White defends with 2, Black has gotten almost nothing for his captured stone.
A tesuji.
Black 1 sacrifices another stone!
White has no choice but to accept the sacrifice with 2 and the following moves.
Sacrificing the 2nd stone gives Black extra outside forcing moves through 7.
Black now has corner territory in sente and White's right side stone looks lonely.
The difference between this diagram and the previous one is obvious.
