Correct.
Black 1 is an excellent point.
Finding a good answer is very difficult for White.
Pushing up with 2 doesn't work.
Through 7, Black's stones easily escape.
White variation.
Cutting across the knight's move at 2 (at 9) is often a tesuji, but fails here.
Through 13, White has a bad result, as his center group is cast adrift in the center.
White variation.
Dodging to 10 (instead of the previous diagram) doesn't help.
Black simply heads for the center with 11 and 13.
Game line.
Because White had no good answer to Black 1, White switches to 2.
With the White stone at 2, White can now cut at 4.
But Black simply sacrifices the 2 stones to the right with 5.
Kobayashi uses sente from 5 to play in the lower right with 7,
after which he felt that Black was in the lead.
