Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

Correct.
To see many more variations, play through the SGF. Black 1 is the only move! White 2 is the strongest response. And again, Black 3 is the only move. White 4 and 6 is the only way to keep Black separated. Through 10, White lives to keep Black separated, but through 17, Black can safely force his way out into the center, with White now having weak groups.

White variation.
If White tries to connect himself with 6, Black connects easily with 7.

Black failure.
Black 1 can make an eye at the top. Through 11, Black forms the eye, but Black 13 is just one example how Black cannot make a second eye. White can either live in the corner or connect out.

Black failure.
Black 1 is a stylish move, but doesn't work here. White calmly captures the stone with 2 and 4. But White 8 shows that Black cannot connect his groups. Black dies.
