Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

Slack.
Black 1 fails to use the aji of the corner stones. With 7 Black lives in gote with only 3 points of territory. All of Black's corner stones have gone to waste.

Correct.
Black 1 and 3 are the only moves. White 4 is the best defense. Black 7 and 9 make life while capturing some stones. This line of play is the best for both sides.

Black variation.
Black 3 is too slow. White 4 takes the key point. After 9, Black lives small and in gote. Black's corner stones have been no help.
